Mediation is a way of resolving issues directly with the help of a mediator who basically is a third party to the parties in dispute. The process takes place in private and in entirely voluntary settings, during which both parties meet with a mediator in order to try to reach an agreement. In the event of reaching a mutual agreement, it may be made legally binding by a court order.
